Paid Time Off – PTO

Paid Time Off (PTO) is available to all full-time and part-time employees assigned to work at least 20 hours per week. PTO benefits combine vacation, holiday and sick leave into a single program designed to provide employees with more control of their time off. PTO time is accrued bi-weekly. Accrual rate is based on years of service. Please visit the ARHS Employee Hub for the accrual schedule.

Parental Time Off

ARHS is committed to creating and maintaining a work culture that supports staff in their efforts to balance their work responsibilities with the demands of personal and family life. The Paid Parental Leave Policy supports these goals and values by allowing parents additional flexibility and time to bond with their new child, adjust to their new family situation, and balance their professional obligations. Employees must meet eligibility requirements for Family Medical Leave Act  (FMLA) in order to be eligible for Paid Parental Leave. Eligible Employees must have been employed at least 12 months and worked at least 1,250 hours in the previous 12 months. Employees are eligible to use two weeks of Paid Parental Leave anytime during the first six months following the birth or adoption of a child. The Paid Parental Leave must be taken consecutively and will be paid at the employee’s base rate of pay and FTE.


Family/Medical Leave

If you have been employed at least twelve months and worked at least 1250 hours during the past 12-month period, you may be eligible for Family/Medical Leave. FML allows you to take up to 12-weeks of paid and/or unpaid time off from work and maintain your same job and benefit levels when you return. If you do not qualify for FML you may still be eligible for an Unpaid Leave of Absence.
